Mrs. Backer’s Pastry Shop

Mrs. Backer's Pastry Shop has been serving the community in Salt Lake City, Utah, for a long time, with a tradition of baking exceptional cakes and pastries. The bakery's history is long, with the family of bakers tracing their roots back 700 years.

The family still uses old recipes and old wooden cookie presses that were brought over from Germany, and the store design and colors have remained the same since it was established. This continuity is a testament to the enduring nature of the bakery's craft.

Beautiful flowered cakes are a specialty, made with delicious butter cream frosting and custom-designed decorating tips. Danishes, donuts, French pastries, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and more are also available, showcasing the bakery's skill and versatility.

Seasonal flowers and charming holiday cookies are available throughout the year, and the bakery's decor changes to reflect the time of year. This attention to detail extends to the creative items available to display treats, including cake plates, aprons, and other food-related items.

The bakery is found at 434 E South Temple in Salt Lake City, and can be reached by calling (801) 532-2022, or by visiting in person to place an order over the phone.
